The given process chart depicts the sequence of steps involved in canning
process of fruit.
The appropriately ripened fruit us plucked with hands. The collected
harvest is transported to cannery in trucks. At the cannery, the fruit is washed
and checked for quality to weed out unsuitable pieces. The selected pieces are
kept in cold storage until the start of canning process. When the fruit is
taken out for canning, grading procedure is carried out to ensure that fruit is
uniform in size. After the completion of evaluation, the fruit skin is peeled
and cut into equal sized pieces besides removing the cores.
These equally cut pieces are then put into the cans that contain sugar
syrup. After the completion of this procedure, the can is finally sealed with machine operated devices and finally
cooked to sterilize the contents and cans. Once these cans have cooled down,
they are labeleled and sent to storage from where they are dispacthed for
retail.
