By 1950, percentage of population in sub-urban areas had risen by 100%, to 20%, while villages witnessed a dip of 20%, the number of inhabitants in big cities remained somewhat same.

The latter half of the 20th century witnessed a spike in suburban populace, reaching 40%. At this point the number of people living in the suburbs reached at par with the percentage of inhabitants in big urban centers, while rural population dipped drastically to 20%.

By 2050, it is expected that outskirts of city would support more than half of the population of Northwest while villages would have barely 10% people. The urban population is expected to remain static.

Ielts Writing Task 1 - The three pie charts below show the changes in annual spending by a particular UK school

The given pie charts illustrate spending patterns on different items in a UK school in 1981, 1991 and 2001.

Expenditure on salaries – teachers and other staff – cumulatively formed the largest head of expenses, 60% in 2001, even though the quantum spent on wages of other workers declined continuously from 1981 to 2001, from 28% to 22%, and remuneration given to teaching staff rose from 40% to 50% between 81 and 91, but declined by 5% in next decade.

Ratio of money spent on resources, like books registered a rise of 5% from 81 to 91, but saw a substantial decline in the next decade – more than 50%, fell to 9%. However, the trend of expenses on furniture and equipment registered a completely reverse pattern. Spending on this head, although fell significantly from 15% to 5% between 81 and 91, registered a three-fold rise to 23% by 2001.

Insurance gained importance in the corresponding period, money spent on it rose from a partly 2% to 8%.
