The diagram below
shows how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects up- to-the- minute
information on the weather in order to produce reliable forecasts. Summarize
the information in at least 150 words.
The Given diagram elaborates the
weather forecasting system as followed by Australian
Bureau of Meteorology.
The
forecasting system is organized in 4 distinct phases, i.e. collecting and compiling,
evaluating, preparing and finally broadcasting. The meteorological data is
largely collected with help of weather satellites, weather station radars and
drifting buoys in seas. The changes and patterns recorded by the floating buoys
are collected to prepare synoptic charts.
The
images beamed down by satellites are either relayed to analysis stage directly
or are sent to the radar stations which further process the information to
indicate information in form of radar images of globe or go further in
developing synoptic charts.
The
information collected in analyzed by weather experts and transferred for preparation
of relaying the information.
The
data compiled and prepared in transmitted through the television and radio and it
can also be accessed by people using the telephones services which provide pre
recorded bits of information about weather.
To
conclude, the Australian weather forecasting system is quite elaborate and
dependable.
