Ielts Writing Task 1 - Spending on consumer goods |
The given bar chart depicts
the money spent by nationals of four European nations; Britain, France, Germany
and Italy on six categories of consumer goods, namely Personal stereos, tennis
racquets, perfumes, CDs, toys, photographic films.
It can be observed, Britons led
in spending on all six product categories – with most money spent on
photographic films; and least expenditure incurred on personal stereos. British
were closely followed by French whose spending on 3 commodities was more than
Germans and Italians, but lesser in other three goods.
Similarly, the spending of Italians
on all 6 types of goods was more than Germans; more than French in 3 categories;
at par with them in toys; and less in other two – highest amount of money spent
on toys and least on personal stereos.
On the other hand, the
inclination of Germans to spend on all the consumer goods was less than the nationals
of other three European countries.
To conclude, British led in
spending in all product categories, while Germans trailed in all.
