The given graphs depict the inclination of
men and women, in Britain, of different age groups to buying different genre of
music, namely pop, rock and classical.
While men lead women in buying all kinds of
music genre, the interest of individuals in the age group 16 to 44, and 45 and
above, reflects similar trends in terms of buying pop and rock music: least
number or people aged 45 and above go for these genre (below 10%); approximately 15% of in age group 16-24;
slightly less than 30% people aged between 25-34 years; and peaks at age 35-44
years 30% individuals.
Quite contrary to the trends in pop and rock,
a sharp rise in inclination for classical is noticed among people aged 45 years
and above – they led other age groups. They are followed by individuals in
25-34 years. A significant fall in interest in noticed among other age groups.
In the nutshell, while pop and rock music are
preferred more by young British, older Britons like classical.
