about the levels of donations made by US nationals of different age categories

In 1995, a major part of
contributions towards donations came from people aged between 18 years and 50
years, in which, the highest percentage of donations – 45 percent – came from US
nationals aged between 36-50 years; followed by people aged between 26-35 years

inclination to donate among the older age groups rose in the corresponding
period. The percentage of donations from people aged between 50-65 years increased
from 35% to 42% , and the percentage of money channelized into charities, by
people over 65 years, registered a climb of approximately 6% (from 32% to 38%).
Overall, there was a decline
in donations in these two years, twenty years apart.
